Stand for One Gala 2014
To Whom It May Concern: Restore One is a local 501(c)(3) organization that is working diligently to combat the sex trafficking of boys and young men through awareness, prevention, and the opening of the first safe home in the nation for boys who have been sex trafficked. We are reaching out to you to offer you an exciting opportunity for a corporate sponsorship. On Friday September 26th at Rock Springs Center in Greenville, North Carolina, Restore One will be hosting our second annual benefit Gala titled, “Stand for One.” Michael Cusick, Founder and President of Restoring the Soul Ministries, who serves as an adjunct professor at Denver Seminary and author of Surfing for God, will be our keynote speaker for the evening. Michael Cusick ‘s personal testimony and heart for healing from sexual baggage and brokenness parallels with Restore One’s mission to restore sex trafficked boys and men. Our Master of Ceremony for the evening will be sex trafficking overcomer, Rebecca Bender. Rebecca is more than just a survivor of domestic Sex Trafficking. She is an award winning, internationally recognized speaker, author and Survivor Leader in the movement to eradicate modern day slavery. The night of the Gala will be filled with music, dinner, and a silent auction. For more information on Michael Cusick, please visit www.restoringthesoul.com or Rebecca Bender, please visit rebeccabender.org.
Our goal for this night is to raise $70,000 that will assist Restore One in the opening of our first shelter for boy victims of sex trafficking. It is called “The Anchor House” and is set to open in March of 2015. “Anchor House” will be the first safe house nationwide devoted solely to providing holistic trauma informed care to sex trafficked boys, ages 12-18. It will be a licensed residential care facility under the state of North Carolina. The Anchor House will provide a safe space for restoration, healing, and all preparations needed for the boys to re-enter into a normal life. Inside the black folder that you received with this letter, you will find information about Restore One’s mission, vision and governance and more information about “The Anchor House.”
As well as going to support “The Anchor House,” the funds raised will help support our prevention and awareness programs including “BOY$”, a documentary that seeks to bring validity to the truth that males can be victims of sex trafficking. BOY$ is produced by Restore One and Black Tree Media Group. Funds received will also assist Restore One’s other programs including “Men for Freedom,” progressive education on male sex trafficking and other annual awareness programs. Attached to this letter you will find a list of the 7 corporate sponsorship levels for the event and details of what is received with each sponsorship level. Available opportunities range from the “Anchor House Sponsor” which includes corporate listing on all printed materials and in electronic media, a black and white ad in the event program, and 2 tables at the event (16 tickets) to the “Restore One Sponsor” that includes company listing in the event program, acknowledgement in our electronic newsletter and 4 tickets to the Gala.
