Mary was born in the wonderful, small town of Vanceboro. She met Chris and Anna a few years ago after Restore One started. They came to speak at her home church, Ignite, about human trafficking and how it was happening here in Greenville and surrounding cities to girls and boys that were her own age. Something was triggered in Mary's heart by the way Chris and Anna spoke about fighting human trafficking.
Mary knew God was calling her to join the fight against human trafficking, so she decided to volunteer with Restore One over the next couple of years. Recently, Chris and Anna contacted her about joining the staff as Executive Assistant for Restore One. Mary knew this was God opening a door, so she gladly accepted. She sees it as a joy to work in a place where you know you are making a difference, and with fellow believers working towards the same goal.
Mary believes every boy that is in human trafficking is worth fighting for. She is excited to see The Anchor House become a safe haven for the boys. Whether one or one hundred, God has a plan of healing and restoration for each life.
In Mary's spare time, she loves playing with her dog, Olaf (named after Frozen's snowman), spending time outside, hanging out at the beach in the summer, snowboarding, playing volleyball and basketball, and eating delicious food (especially ice cream). She is also very involved in Radiate, her church's youth group.
